More than 160 wounded in protest in Buenos Aires

In violent protests against austerity in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires, more than 160 people were injured and 60 people were arrested.

Masked protesters have bombarded agents with stones and Molotov cocktails. Among the wounded are more than fifty agents, reported Argentine media. The turmoil is continuing and parliament is likely to cut the knot on Tuesday about the controversial reform.

The government of President Mauricio Macri wants to reduce budget deficits. She wants to save almost 5 billion euros per year on pensions by limiting their indexation. The leftist opposition and trade unions argue that Macri wants to make the budget on the backs of the poor close.
