More migrants via border river in Greece

Smugglers bring more and more migrants from Turkey via the border river Evros Greece.

Throughout March, the Greek authorities counted 1658 migrants crossing the river, more than six times as many as in that month last year. The smugglers promise to bring the migrants to Italy and Central Europe via the so-called Balkan route. That seems empty promises because that route has been locked for some time. The displaced persons add up to 1500 euros for the trip.
