More declarations in Cologne during carnival

Police in Cologne ingested significantly more reports of sexual offenses during the carnival last year.

The authorities called prior to the carnival to do especially the public declaration of sexual offenses. Facing a growing number of reports of such crimes, fewer cases were recorded of bags thefts and robberies.

The police put
2500 people, compared with 750 last year. The corps had announced consistently intervene in incidents reported in 1389 and warrants to the public, about twice as much as last year. Hundreds of people were arrested, more than 28 last year.

New Year's Eve, hundreds of women were harassed, beaten and robbed. eventually the police received more than a thousand declarations.
