More and more girls in Africa have to marry

Due to the strong population growth in Africa are getting more girls forced to marry there as a child.

Of all 20- to 24-year-old women living in Africa is third (125 million) married her eighteenth. That was 25 years ago 44 per cent. But because the number of girls in 2050 to increase from 274 million to 465 million, the number of child brides is increasing anyway.

" The number of affected girls and what that means for their childhood and their broken future, stressed that this practice must stop ", said UNICEF chief Anthony Lake.
