Morawiecki sworn in as prime minister Poland

Polish president Andrzej Duda sworn in on Mateusz Morawiecki (49) on Monday in the Warsaw presidential palace as the new prime minister.

Szydlo was pushed aside last week. Government party Law and Justice (PiS) thinks Morawiecki is more suitable to improve the image of Poland abroad and to prepare the national-conservative PiS for the upcoming elections. As prime minister, Morawiecki continues to focus primarily on economic policy.

Duda appointed Szydlo deputy prime minister. She realized as government leader all election promises of the PiS regarding child benefit and minimum wage. That made her loved by the supporters.

According to the experts, in Poland PiS chef Jaroslaw Kaczynski is actually serving politics even though he is not a member of the cabinet.
