Minister instructs OM in the USA about death penalty

US Secretary of Justice Jeff Sessions instructed prosecutors in the country on Wednesday to demand the death penalty in drug cases if that is 'appropriate.

Sessions' appeal to the prosecutors is part of a plan that Donald Trump launched earlier this week in New Hampshire. The president insisted on executing traders and smugglers of (synthetic) opiates.

The proposal to demand more often the death penalty in large federal drug cases has already called for a lot of resistance. Groups that want to reform the criminal justice system say that it is a totally wrong answer to a general health crisis.
