Merkel does not want to cancel debts

The German Chancellor Merkel feels nothing for an Italian debt relief.

One of the plans of the new Italian coalition is to ask for a remission of € 250 billion in debt to Germany. Merkel seems to indicate in the interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that she will not participate. That is how the NOS reports.

The leaders of the new Italian coalition are skeptical about the euro. Salvini said earlier that Italians are not slaves of Germany and France.

Merkel will meet the Italian Prime Minister Contemporally at the G7 Summit, on 8 and 9 June in Canada.
