May wants safety agreement with EU next year

The British Prime Minister Theresa May wants to conclude a new security agreement with the European Union, which should be in force next year.

'The cooperation that has to come about is one that provides Great Britain and the EU with the best way to join forces where we share common interests,' said May for an audience of European and American dignitaries.

The President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, confirmed that security and the Brexit are separate topics. 'We need security cooperation between Britain and the EU. that should not be confused with other issues about the brexit. '
