Mass on the leg for Turkish opposition leader

Shortly before the Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections, the leader of the largest opposition party, Muharrem Ince of the CHP (Republican People's Party), attracted an estimated 2.

The center-left party CHP is secular and Izmir, the third city of the country, is regarded as CHP stronghold. The 54-year-old Ince is in opinion polls number two, after his peers President Erdogan, who has been reigning for fifteen years and has been increasingly authoritarian in the last five years.
