Marry and bury banned in North Korea

Weddings and funerals are banned in North Korea ahead of a major conference held in the country.

The capital Pyongyang is hermetically locked for the occasion. Freedom of movement is prohibited in and out of the city and residents and premises be checked more often, the news reports

The last party congress was held in 1980, when Kim's father Kim Jong-il was appointed as successor to the founder of North Korea, Kim Il-sung.
