Marching transgender people into American politics

Transgenders are working on a historic advance in American politics.

Most are candidates on behalf of the Democrats, some are independent candidates or affiliated with the Green Party.

For example, Kim Coco Iwamoto competes on Saturday in Hawaii for the Democratic candidacy of deputy governor. Christine Hallquist has raised the most money in the state of Vermont for her candidacy for the governorship, with which she hopes to win the Democratic nomination next Tuesday. In Massachusetts, Alexandra Chandler is one of the candidates who makes a move to a seat in the congress.
