Many kill in Central African Republic

At least 115 people have recently died of violence in the Central African Republic (CAR), reported the Red Cross Wednesday.

Warriors of the Anti-Bala family, formed by followers of the 2013 Christian president, Francois Bozizé, had attacked Bangassou a few weeks ago. Thereafter there were bloody fights in the city, which is 500 kilometers east of Bangui capital. About three hundred residents fled for violence, the UN reported. Another 25,000 inhabitants are assigned humanitarian aid.

The CAR is one of the poorest countries in the world. Since 2013 there has been a civil war between the Christian Anti-Balaka and the Seleka Islamic rebel movement.
