Many German refugees enjoy benefits

Two of the three refugees are, according to the German Employment Office (BA), dependent on a social assistance benefit.

The BA is based on 1.7 million people who have come to Germany from the eight most important asylum seekers, including Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Eritrea and Somalia. 63 percent of them are in assistance. This is mainly because they are not yet powerful in German or do not have the right training.
