Manaforts second process starts on 24 September

The federal judge responsible for the second trial that Paul Manafort is waiting for, has determined that the first session will be held on 24 September.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson made a request from Donald Trump's former advisor and campaign manager for a week's delay. His lawyers wanted more time for preparation. They also argued with the public prosecutors about the possibility of asking members of the jury whether they voted in 2016 and whether they have an opinion about Trump or his campaign staff.

Manafort is on trial next month for, among other things, money laundering and not being registered as a foreign agent for the pro-Russian government of Ukraine. Recently he was found guilty in Alexandria for bank fraud and tax evasion.
