Man threatens COA employees and grenades

A 34-year-old man from Sprang-Capelle was arrested Friday as he had threatened staff at a refugee center.

The man indeed seemed to have buried explosives from the Second World War in the Loon and Drunen dunes. Police found nine mortar shells and a phosphorus grenade. One of the grenades was unstable and was Friday in a clearing by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) detonated. In the man's house were also found ammunition still remains.

The reason for the threats of the man was that he did not agree with the arrival of refugees. Made against him, police report, the police said Saturday.
