Mafia Boss of bed lifted

One of the most wanted criminals in Italy has been arrested after two decades.

Fazzalari (46) was examined by a specially formed police and army from his bed in the Calabrian countryside. In the southern Italian region created the criminal organization he was the boss of the late nineteenth century. Fazzalari was wanted for murder, manslaughter, and a litany of other offenses. In 1999 he was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment for his role in a bitter struggle between criminal gangs which dozens were killed.

According to Prime Minister Renzi was Fazzalari one of the most dangerous criminals in Europe. Only one man stands higher in Italy on the list of most wanted criminals: the Sicilian Mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro.
