Macron is going to address people on TV

In the week-long crisis around the 'yellow hesjes' protests, French president Emmanuel Macron wants to publicly express himself on Monday evening.

Earlier, representatives of the 'yellow vests' and the opposition had already demanded answers from the president, who had the honor to say to Prime Minister Édouard Philippe until now.

After new protests and riots last weekend, Macron is under great pressure. Monday morning he wants to talk first with representatives of the most important trade unions, employers' organizations and the presidents of the National Assembly and the Senate. With the aim to hear their opinions and suggestions.
