Loch Ness monster emerges

The Loch Ness monster is finally found after decades.

The nepmonster was made in 1969 for a Sherlock Holmes film: The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, with Christopher Lee and Robert Stephens. This is the first time that the decor piece is defined by an underwater robot. The robot, controlled by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Maritime, was working on his routine to search the lake when he stumbled on Nessie.

'We found a monster, but not the monster that people were expecting,' said Loch Ness expert Adrian Shrine told BBC. 'The original model was built with a neck and two humps. The director wanted to have removed the two humps, despite the warning that he would lose his buoyancy. And that's what happened. The Nessie model sank to the bottom of Loch Ness. '
