Little movement on climate

There is still little movement in negotiations at the international climate summit in Paris.

Especially the finances prove to be a stumbling block, according to the Americans. The major industrial countries have pledged contributions to developing countries by 2020 to increase by 100 billion dollars (almost 95 billion) to deal with the consequences of climate change. But for the time afterwards to ask countries such as the archipelagos threatened by rising sea levels, more money.

According to German negotiators keep the countries " their powder dry " and run the slow negotiations. They hope for political pressure to give the talks a boost. In Paris, representatives of nearly two hundred countries talk about the climate.
