Lightweights can fly with e-plane

Four passengers will have the chance to be the first in the Netherlands to make a flight with an e-plane on Saturday.

In Cleantech Regio, municipalities in the Apeldoorn-Deventer-Zutphen triangle work together towards a sustainable future. Electric transport is part of that. Airport Teuge near Apeldoorn has plans to become the national center for electric flying. The e-plane of the Slovenian aircraft manufacturer Pipistrel makes four flights from Teuge on Saturday with one passenger on board.

The electric plane would actually take off two weeks ago, but according to the organization the license for flying in the Dutch airspace did not arrive until this week. If you want to board Saturday, you must register with Cleantech Regio on Friday afternoon at 16.00 hrs. If there are more than four fanciers there is a draw.
