Lawyers Park see no grounds for dismissal

The lawyers of the South Korean President Park Geun-hye want the Constitutional Court parliament decision to turn off her undoing.

The parliament voted on December 9 with 234 votes for and 56 against to sue the president. She is accused of conflict of interest and collusion with a friend to put large enterprises under pressure to donate large amounts of private foundations.

Park has apologized but refused to resign. Its powers were taken over by the prime minister, but Park has retained its title and also staying at the residence of the head of state. It is inviolable so long as she is president.

The court has 180 days to decide on the objections filed against the dismissal of Park. Her lawyers indicated that they probably did not himself will appear before the court.
