Laptops on flights to USA may stay

It remains for airline passengers flying to the United States to take laptops on board.

The main condition is that airports and airlines within three weeks, for all flights to the United States, need to scan electronic devices larger than handset phones on explosives.

The measures apply to 280 airports in 105 countries. In total, 180 international airlines make a daily US flight with a total of 2000 flights. According to the Ministry, 99 percent of airlines meet the conditions.

The ban on laptops could count on global resistance to both passengers and airline companies. The plan is therefore welcomed by the companies on Wednesday.
