Ku Klux Klan leader (92) died in cell

Edgar Ray Killen, once one of the leaders of the Ku Klux Klan, died in his cell on Thursday night.

Killen was only convicted in 2005, 41 years after the victims James Chaney, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman were killed. He has always denied all involvement.

About the murders of the black man from Mississippi and two white New Yorkers the film called Mississippi Burning from 1988 was made.

The autopsy report should clarify the cause of death of the 92-year-old prisoner, but so far no evidence of a crime has been found, according to the Mississippi State Penitentiary prison.
