Kosovo deports Gülen to Turkey

Kosovo arrested six Turkish nationals and extradited them to Turkey.

The six worked for schools that were financed by the Gülen movement. Turkey regards the movement as a terrorist organization. According to the Turkish state press agency Anadolu, the men were engaged in the recruitment of new members in the Balkans and the raising of funds. They would also have helped Gülen supporters escape from Turkey.

Turkey is a major investor in Kosovo. According to a high Kosovo official, the Turkish government would have put great pressure on the poverty-stricken Balkan country to act against the Gülen schools.
