Kill in fighting army and militants Sinai

Battles between the army of Egypt and jihadists have killed more than twenty people in Sinai.

Since 2013 Egypt is engaged in Sinai in a battle with fighters who have ties with Islamic State. That year Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was dismissed as president. At the end of November last year, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ordered a campaign against extremists in Sinai. He decided to do the operation after an attack on a mosque on the peninsula. That required at least three hundred lives.
