Kill in attack on state-owned oil company Libya

Armed men have stormed the headquarters of the Libyan state oil company NOC.

A fleeing employee said that 'three to five' armed men were shooting in the building of the National Oil Corporation. The man said he had jumped out of a window to escape the attackers. Witnesses argued that security forces flew windows so that the personnel could flee. Explosions have also been heard.

The responsibility for the attack has not been claimed. The capital was recently the scene of bloody battles between rival militias. The UN mission in the North African country announced earlier this month that a cease-fire had been concluded between the warring parties.
