Kill after possible illegal oil loss Mexico

A fire in a fuel pipeline certainly cost four Mexicans a Saturday.

The fire could be quickly quenched after Pemex's management manager had closed the pipe. The pipeline, where daily 73,000 barrels of fuel pass through, are temporarily out of use.

The four victims did not appear to be oil company employees after identification. Pemex thinks the victims are fuel thieves and have caused fire due to draining.

Fuel rocket is a growing problem in Mexico. Oil companies are estimated to miss 27,000 barrels of fuel per day due to illegal drainage of pipelines by criminal gangs. The Mexican government has used the army to stop the fuel thieves.
