Judge India cancels punishment for homosex
The highest court in India has put a line through the punishability of homosexual contacts.
Sex between the same sexes became punishable again in 2013, after it had been allowed for four years. The five judges-highest court dismissed Thursday's punishment unanimously. According to the judges, homosexuals in India live by being punishable by deep-seated trauma and fear.
A sexual relationship between adults of the same sex can not, according to the court, be called unconstitutional. Activists were happy with the statement that is seen as a milestone.
