Journalist is very dangerous profession

In 2015, 112 journalists have been killed by violence.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), which maintains these figures, pleaded Wednesday through its president Jim Boumelha not the first time for more protection for journalists to exercise their profession. The profession is literally the target of kidnappings, bombings and firefights. Also crime syndicates use violence against reporters.

The most dangerous countries include Iraq, the Philippines, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, Algeria, India and Syria. African journalists run the greatest risk in Somalia, in South America is Brazil, says the IFJ.
