Italy allows boat refugees

Over forty asylum seekers, who were rescued from the sea by an American naval ship, have been allowed to go to Italy.

That happened off the coast of Libya. For twelve passengers, the help came too late. Their bodies are salvaged.

Friday let Rome know that they are welcome in Italy. The refugees are transferred to a ship of the Italian coast guard and are expected to arrive in Italy on Sunday.

Italy refused to have the ship Aquarius built with more than six hundred refugees on board. Those migrants are now on their way to Spain.
