Italian olive oil counterfeiters caught

Italian police have arrested a gang of counterfeiters and seized in several raids in 2000 tons 'wrong' olive oil.

The oil had a paper value of around 13 million euros. The raids and arrests of operation 'Mamma Mia' were in the regions of Calabria and Puglia.

Shoddy olive oil is more common in Italy. Last year began justice in Turin against various manufacturers a thing because they brought inferior oil to the man as oil from the first pressing.
