IS women are Belgian Minister of Justice

Two Belgian widows of killed IS fighters in Syria challenge the Belgian Minister of Justice to bring their underage children to Belgium.

The women are from Borgerhout near Antwerp and were sentenced in absentia to five years in prison and 6,000 euro in March because they had left for Syria. The two traveled to the conflict area five years ago, in imitation of their now fallen men.

With their underage children they are now in a refugee camp in the north of Syria. They want the children to return to Belgium and have a lawyer. They believe that Minister Koen Geens is in default.

Child Focus wants the government to bring all children with a Belgian mother or father from the conflict area back to Belgium. There are currently around 145 minors in the area.
