IS-sympathizers arrested in Belgium

Fifteen searches in Gent, Deinze and Antwerp, the Belgian police Tuesday fifteen people arrested are linked to the terrorist organization Islamic State.

The arrested persons are suspected of 'participation in a terrorist group and / or financing of a terrorist club. Some of them would, moreover, have tried to recruit people to join the fight in Syria, Belgian media reported.

In raids no weapons or explosives were found. Four of the fifteen detainees will be prosecuted.

The arrests are not yet in connection with the attacks on the airport of Zaventem and Maelbeek metro station in Brussels in March this year.
