Ireland fears Brexit

Would the Brits next year decide to leave the European Union, that would have serious economic consequences for Ireland.

The Republic of Ireland, as Kenny said, has more to lose by a so-called Brexit than Britain itself. The decision to leave the European Union, would primarily affect Northern Ireland, economically but also politically. Enda Kenny said in London it would undoubtedly inflame political tensions in Northern Ireland. That would in turn threaten trade with Ireland. His message to Cameron is therefore clear: remain a member of the EU.
