Ireland also expels Russian diplomat

Ireland expels a Russian diplomat in response to an attack with nerve gas on a Russian ex-spy in England.

Governments across Europe, the United States and other countries announced Monday that they would expel more than a hundred Russian diplomats in retaliation for the attack on former Russian double-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter on 4 March. Moscow has denied being behind the attack.

'The Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with the Russian Ambassador and informed him that the accreditation of a staff member with diplomatic status is being withdrawn,' Coveny said.
