Iran makes cautious guide

For the first time since the conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia executed on the Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr has reached out to the parties concerned.

All countries should work together in the region, especially with regard to the threats of terrorism, Sarif said. Al-Nimr was along with 46 others in Saudi Arabia put to death, often for terrorist activities. The death of the cleric in Shiite Iran led to fierce protests. In the capital Tehran the embassy of the Saudis was stormed.
Earlier Wednesday, the government in Tehran already announced that those responsible will be punished for that assault. The perpetrators were labeled as criminals and their actions as un-Islamic. After the attack on the embassy Riyadh broke off diplomatic relations.
