Investigation of telephone call Mladic from prison Scheveningen

The former Bosnian Serb army leader Ratko Mladic may have violated the rules by calling Friday from the prison in Scheveningen to the station Happy TV.

The UN war tribunal MICT, which is dealing with Mladic's case, is investigating whether the former army chief has gone wrong with his phone call. A MICT spokeswoman told the BalkanInsight news site that detainees have the right to have contact with family members without having to obtain prior permission from the MICT secretariat. This permission is necessary for contacts with the media.
