Invest more in children on the run

The richest countries in the world need to invest more in children who are in flight.

For example, there are almost fifty million refugees and migrant children worldwide who can not or hardly attend education. More than 25 million children between six and fifteen years old in conflict zones do not go to school, according to UNICEF.

Those children are particularly vulnerable to child marriages, child labor and recruitment by conflicting parties, proposes UNICEF Ambassador Muzoon Almellehan from Hamburg, who fled as a child from Syria and joined the G20 summit. It is about the future of the world: 'Without education, children grow up without the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to the peace and development of their country,' she believes.
