Intervent Brussels in e-commerce market

Brussels wants to curb the dominant power of major technology companies like Google and Facebook in data processing.

This is the European Commission's Wednesday's report on the e-commerce sector. 'Certain practices of e-commerce companies can limit competition by over-limits products in the European Union,' said Commissioner Margrethe Vestager (Competition).

The statement follows an earlier survey of the e-commerce market in 2016.

'The restrictions can reduce consumer choices and prevent online lower prices. '

In addition, Vestager believes that more balance must be struck between stones and online stores in Europe in order to maintain consumer freedom.

The European Commission will investigate the effects of data processing by major technology companies.
