Intel McAfee Security is again

Computer Security company Security Intel is again renamed McAfee.

Investor TPG took last fall a 51 percent interest in the well-known cyber security company, which was incorporated in 2010 by Intel. TPG thereby already indicated that they expect McAfee as a single company would be better able to jumping to rapid changes in the fight against computer viruses. It was also announced that the old name of the company was likely to be restored.

The investment from TPG McAfee valued at $ 4.2 billion. That meant almost a halving of the value of the company in its acquisition by Intel in 2010.

The reduction to the original name is somewhat striking. Founder John McAfee- which all times is no longer active in business- in recent years is quite fallen into disrepute. He was associated with a murder in Belize.
