Indictment against perpetrator of attack in New York

The man behind the failed bomb attack in New York on Monday has been formally charged.

The 27-year-old Akayed Ullah is charged with, among other things, illegal possession of weapons, terrorism and terrorist threats.

The New York police informed Tuesday via Twitter that the Bangladesh-born Ullah had made extensive statements. The police do not want to lose details about this.

In an underground corridor that forms the connection between the large bus terminal Port Authority and the underground station of the same name, the suspect caused a pipe bomb to detonate. The man was wounded himself and three passers-by suffered minor injuries.
