Impasse in missile consultation NATO- Russia

Consultations between NATO countries and Russia about the alleged violation of the INF missile treaty have not resulted in a breakthrough.

Russia and the US agreed on a ban on (nuclear) medium-range missiles on their territory in 1987. Because Moscow does not adhere to it according to the 29 NATO countries, the American government has issued an ultimatum. If Russia does not comply with the treaty on 2 February, the Americans will step out of it. The effective termination of the treaty would then take place six months later.
