Ice hampers German trains
Ice in northwestern Germany on Sunday has ensured that a hundred train passengers had to spend the night in a sports hall in Norddeich.
The intercity train in the opposite direction came the sudden ice just before station Emden to a halt. The passengers had to walk the last kilometer on foot.
The trains will resume no earlier than Monday, report the German railways. Rails are covered frozen under a layer of ice and overhead lines.
