Hundreds of migrants rescued at the Spanish coast

More than six hundred refugees have been rescued from the sea off the coast of southern Spain.

Seven ships with nearly two hundred people drove into the Strait of Gibraltar. A further nine boats with 467 people are operating in the west of the Mediterranean. The migrants were all brought to the Andalusia region.

The flow of refugees in the direction of Spain has grown strongly in recent times, although the total flow has decreased through the Mediterranean.
