Huawei puts Apple on the heels

The Chinese manufacturer of mobile phones Huawei threatens Apple's position as number two of the world.

In the second quarter Huawei sold 38 million phones. As a result of the 20 percent growth, Apple's backlog is only 3 million mobile phones, market researcher Canalys, rated.

Also, the places four and five are for Chinese manufacturers. Oppo and Xiaomi saw more than doubling their sales.

Samsung is by far the world's largest phone manufacturer. In the second quarter of this year, the Korean group delivered 79 million phones, a little more than the same period a year earlier.
