Hours of fighting in prison US: 7 dead, 17 wounded

During an hour-long brawl in a heavily guarded prison in the American state of South Carolina, seven people were killed and 17 wounded.

Prison guards were not injured. In the maximum security institution in Bishopville there are 1500 very violent crimes with long sentences.

How it was possible that the fight lasted so long is not clear.
