Hostage in pharmacy Cologne ended: perpetrator seriously injured, hostage injured

In a pharmacy in the complex of the Cologne central station, the German police put an end to a hostage situation.

It is not known what the perpetrator moved.

The man would first have thrown a burning object to people in a fast food restaurant. After that he would have been entrenched in the pharmacy with one or more hostages. The police had contact with the man during the two-hour hostage.

According to the local Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, a fourteen-year-old girl was wounded to a hospital. She would have suffered burns.

The massacred police of the cathedral city cleared the station because of the hostage taking and also stopped the train traffic. The station in Cologne is one of the busiest in Germany.
