Historical device Aviodrome crashes, about 20 injured

The Convair 340, a historic aircraft purchased by the Dutch Aviodrome, crashed near the South African city of Pretoria during a test flight.

This reports emergency services and local media. In a few days the plane would be flown to the Netherlands, with various stops, to exhibit it in Lelystad.

Aviodrome has now responded. 'We are very shocked. Our priority now lies in securing all those involved. The local authorities are in the process of providing assistance, and of course extensive research will take place afterwards. '
