High waves complicate search for submarine

Heavy storms and waves of up to six meters high in the South Atlantic made Saturday the search for the Argentine submarine with 44 persons missing on board since last Wednesday.

The massive rescue operation to the ARA San Juan keeps the 44 million inhabitants of Argentina in the grip. The intention was to comb the sea floor on Saturday at the place where the submarine was last detected, but due to the bad weather hardly anything has happened.
