Heavy earthquake at Kamchatka

In the Bering Sea to the east of the Russian Kamchatatska peninsula, at a depth of more than 9 kilometers and a heavy earthquake with a force of 7.

The seismological institute of the US (USGS) reported this on Thursday. Initially, a force of 7.8 was passed on. There are no reports of possible damage.

The epicenter was 82 kilometers west of Nikolskoje on Bering Island (Ostrov Beringa). A tsunami warning has been issued. The waves may also reach the coast of Kamchatska. The region is very sparsely populated.
